Private firms link it to a North Korean hacking unit; the Secret Service and FBI are involved; American agencies have not named a culprit in their statements. North Korea has denied past hacking claims.

Transcript of the video edition
Someone just took about six point three billion dollars from Binance, the biggest crypto exchange. One tracking firm says most left in about twenty minutes.
It would be the largest crypto theft on record, about four times the old one. Private firms link it to a North Korean unit. American agencies have not confirmed that.
The Secret Service and FBI are involved, and the American company Circle froze over eight hundred million dollars. Binance says about three billion is frozen.
Binance promises to cover every loss. Some lawyers warn that may not be legally binding, and a top American regulator says offshore exchanges lack American safeguards. Bitcoin fell about five percent at first.
So who took it?
