Transcript of the video edition

A federal grand jury in Washington has refused to indict Cassidy Hutchinson, the star witness of the January sixth committee.

Justice Department prosecutors wanted charges over her twenty twenty-two testimony. House Republicans had urged it.

The jury returned what is called a no bill. Hutchinson has said her testimony was truthful. Secret Service officials have disputed one part of her account, and the department can still try again.

It is part of a pattern. Grand juries have also turned down three attempts to indict New York’s attorney general, and one against six Democratic lawmakers.

Will prosecutors try again? We follow it, sourced and unhyped.
