Accessibility
Last revised
The Monochrome Chronicles wants everyone to be able to read it. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is a goal, not a claim that every page already meets it.
What the paper does
- Text is real text, not images, so screen readers and browser zoom work.
- Photos carry alternative text, and headings follow a logical order.
- The site works on phones and follows your light or dark display setting.
- Every page has a link that skips straight to the content.
Known limits
Some older archive pages, historic photographs and videos may not yet have full alternative text or captions. The paper is working to improve them.
Tell us about a problem
If something here is hard or impossible for you to use, write to editor@monochromechronicles.com. Include the page address, what went wrong and, if you wish, the assistive technology you use. The paper answers within two business days and will offer the content in another form where it can. Last updated November 1, 2026.
